Crazy for Texas journey.

To say that Johnny and I love Texas, its history, and treasures both new and old would be an understatement. I am not sure how much more Texan you can get than hosting your wedding at Sam Houston’s church in Independence. I used to think we had to travel far across great state to explore the tales and sites of Texas legends, but, everyday, it seems I find we have so much to explore and learn even close to home.

We are so fortunate to have the opportunities to travel and explore the remnants of Texas’ past, it would be a shame if we didn’t share it with those that aren’t or can’t get there on their own. Come along and live vicariously through our expeditions! Who knows, maybe you will be inspired to our visit our destinations on your own!

Visit the State Historical Markers to plan your next trip!

Historical markers can be found in all 254 Texas counties. Age, significance, and architectural requirements govern the eligibility of topics and sites when applying for either a subject marker, Historic Texas Cemetery marker, or a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark marker.
